WINSIDE, Neb. -- A small crowd gathered in the Winside Public School gymnasium for Tuesday night's school board meeting.
The board discussed a resolution to the lease-purchase for repairs the school needs and how much extra money is needed after using funds from the bond they received.
The school is going through what items can be changed that don't affect the quality of work and the materials that need to be used so they can save funds.
"The issues we are seeing in northeast Nebraska and across the state are construction prices, inflation, labor shortages have caused an exponential increase in the overall square foot and even material costs are through the roof. It's just really a hard time to build when you have a set amount of money," said Winside Public School superintendent Andrew Offner.
The board elected to wait until May 11th to approve a resolution on how to use and raise funds.
