A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of northeast Nebraska early Tuesday afternoon.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of northeast Nebraska early Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a warning for Burt, Cuming and Thurston Counties until 2:00 p.m. CT.

At 1:07 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Pender to 4 miles north of West Point to 3 miles northeast of Dodge, moving east at 50 mph.

At 1:09 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 3 miles east of Thurston, or 19 miles east of Wayne, moving east at 30 mph.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
