Norfolk man arrested for third DUI after falling off motorcycle
Norfolk Police responded to a call where a man had fallen off his motorcycle.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Norfolk Police responded to a call where a man had fallen off his motorcycle.
NPD said that on Sunday around 10:15 a.m., they were called to the area of 11th Street and Omaha Avenue for a male who had fallen off a motorcycle.
Officials said that the reporting party believed that the driver was impaired in some way.
NPD officers said they four the motorcycle and driver in the 300 block of Omaha Avenue.
Officers identified the driver as 31-year-old Theon Merchant of Norfolk.
Authorities said that a check of his license showed that it had been canceled.
NPD said that during this contact, officers suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Merchant was requested to submit a preliminary breath test, and the results showed that he was over the legal limit.
Merchant was arrested for enhanced third-offense driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
