Dense fog advisory issued for much of eastern Nebraska

Much of Nebraska is waking up to intense fog Monday morning.

NORFOLK, Neb. --Much of Nebraska is waking up to extreme fog and low visibility Monday morning.

As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the following counties:

Thurston, Pierce, Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton, Cuming, Burt, Platte, Colfax, Dodge, Washington, Butler, Saunders, Douglas, Sarpy, Seward, Lancaster and Cass.

The advisory remains in effect until 10:00 a.m.

NWS says visibility is a quarter mile or less, and it is affecting driving conditions.
