Norfolk woman gets arrested for domestic assault

Authorities in northeast Nebraska arrested a woman after a disturbance Saturday night.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities in northeast Nebraska arrested a woman after a disturbance Saturday night. 

Norfolk Police Division said that June 4 around 10:40 p.m., they responded to a disturbance call in the 500 block of Roland Street. 

NPD said that when officers arrived they had contact with 45-year-old Kelli Rodriguez of Norfolk and a male. 

Officials said that the man told them both he and Rodriguez had been drinking and an argument began. 

NPD officers said that man stated that the argument escalated and that Rodriguez had punched him in the left side of the face. 

The man allegedly had redness from the injury. 

Authorities said that another witness at the residence also reported seeing the assault. 

Rodriguez was then arrested for third-degree domestic assault. 

She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
