NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Stanton County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a police officer about a woman with warrants out for her arrest.

The SCSO said an off-duty Norfolk Police Division officer saw a woman inside a Stanton business and that she had multiple confirmed felony arrest warrants issued out of Madison County. The call came into Stanton County authorities on July 5 at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger, the woman left the business and drove west of Stanton on Highway 24.

Officials said the vehicle was watched by the Sheriff’s office on Highway 24 and a high-risk traffic stop was performed.

SCSO said 37-year-old Lindy Rath of Norfolk was taken into custody with no problems and later transferred to the Madison County jail.

The report said Rath's warrants were for drug violations and failure to appear.
