OAKDALE, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska village will be experiencing a planned power outage this week, as officials try to repair damage from summer storms.

According to Nebraska Public Power District spokesperson Grant Otten, there will be a planned outage in Oakdale Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Otten said the outage is necessary for NPPD crews to repair damage caused by recent storms.

According to Otten, NPPD officials worked with the village to get a time and date set. He said NPPD began directly reaching out on Monday to customers who would be affected by the planned outage.
