Late afternoon accident sends one person to hospital

Upon arrival, a woman could be seen lying on the road in pain while paramedics were treating her.

NORFOLK, Neb.-- A late afternoon car accident in Norfolk sent one person to the hospital.

The accident happened around 5:23 p.m. in the 400 block of Prospect Ave.

Norfolk Captain Chad Reiman told News Channel Nebraska that a woman was getting out of her car to go to a local daycare on the street when a truck suddenly backed into her.

Upon arrival, the woman could be seen lying on the road in pain while paramedics were treating her.

She was then taken to the hospital shortly after.

Norfolk police also said the woman's injuries are unknown at this time.
