INDIANAPOLIS -- Two Nebraska college volleyball teams are in the top 10 of the NCAA Division II coaches poll.

Following a 5-0 weekend capped by the Colorado Premier Challenge Championship, the Wayne State volleyball team moved up 10 spots to fifth in this week’s rankings. WSC, which is 9-0 on the season, received five first-place votes and 952 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches from across the country.

Among the Wildcats' wins in Denver was a victory over Concordia-St. Paul, which moved up three spots and still sits ahead of Wayne State at No. 3, despite the win by WSC. The Wildcats also scored wins over ranked foes West Texas A&M and West Florida. The Wildcats will play Concordia-St. Paul again on Friday, this time in conference play, on Friday evening at Rice Auditorium.

Also moving up the rankings was UNK, which slotted up two spots to No. 7 after going 4-0 at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational over the weekend. The Lopers are also 9-0 on the season.

UNK opens up conference play on Friday by traveling to Emporia State.
