NORFOLK, Neb.-- Norfolk Area Pride hosted its second annual Pride festival in Norfolk on Saturday afternoon.

The festival featured over 50 vendors, live music, live speakers, and much more.

Mo Bailey, who is the president of Norfolk Area Pride said she couldn't believe how much the festival has grown in just two years.

"Our community does want support like this," said Bailey. "There are LGBTQ folks in our community who are looking for a place to belong, who are looking for support and resources and so we're here to love our community well because we believe every human being deserves to belong in Norfolk."

Bailey also told News Channel Nebraska the goal was to get around 1,000 people to attend the festival.

The event took place in and around the Norfolk Arts Center and was scheduled to run from 12 pm to 6 pm. There's also an after-party for adults only later tonight at The Mint Bar.
