NPD: man arrested for trespassing on alleged ex's property

Authorities in Norfolk arrested a man after they were called to a home for a him not leaving his alleged ex's home.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities in Norfolk arrested a man after they were called to a home for a him not leaving his alleged ex's home. 

The Norfolk Police Division said that on Wednesday around 10:13 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 200 block of Maple Ave. 

According to NPD, a woman called them and told them a 29-year-old male was outside her house and he wouldn't leave. 

When officers arrived, they said the found the man and made an identification.

While there, police said they spoke with the woman. They said she told them she and the man had been in a dating relationship that ended 2 weeks earlier and he wouldn't leave her alone. 

NPD said the woman told them the man continues to call and text her, and he won't stop. 

During the investigation, officials said they learned the man had recently been given a trespassing warning for the property by other officers, and he was told to not return. 

The man was arrested for trespassing and booked in the Norfolk City Jail. He was later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
