Wayne State football listed in first NCAA Super Region Four Rankings

Wayne, Neb. --- Wayne State College is one of six teams from the Northern Sun Conference under consideration in the first NCAA Super Region Four Football Rankings announced Monday afternoon by the NCAA office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Thirty-four teams from the NSIC, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Lone Star Conference and Great Northwest Athletic Conference comprise Super Region Four.
A new format by NCAA this year for all Division II sports has schools listed as under consideration in alphabetical order for the first regional rankings of the season.
28 teams will advance to the NCAA Division II football championship this season with 12 first-round games scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 19th. The top seed in each selection region (super region) will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
Wayne State is 6-2 on the season and 2-2 in the NSIC South Division and will host Upper Iowa at 12 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Game Saturday afternoon at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne.
