Voter I.D., minimum wage and expanded air service... all yes
Nebraskans have spoken and they have said 'yes' to voter I.D., minimum wage, and expanded air service.

NEBRASKA -- Nebraskans have spoken.
Going into the polls Tuesday, voters were given the option to vote yes or no for two initiatives and Amendment 1.
The two initiatives that were voted for were requiring voter I.D. as well as raising minimum wage in Nebraska.
Nebraska Initiative 433 will raise Nebraska's minimum wage gradually to $15/hr in 2026 and annually adjust the minimum wage thereafter by the cost of living. Nebraska is the second state in the Midwest and the 12th state nationwide on the path to $15/hr. Nebraska is also the only state pursuing a statewide $15/hr ballot measure in 2022.
Olivia Garcia, a McDonald’s worker from San Jose, Calif. and a and leader with the Fight for $15 and a Union, released the following statement:
“Our nationwide movement has once again shown that no matter where we live, working people support raising the wage to at least $15/hr because it’s the bare minimum we need to survive. Today is a strong showing of hope for Midwesterners and working people everywhere, regardless of what party represents them in their statehouse, as Nebraska becomes the second state in the region and the 12th state in the country to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr."
Voters also voted 'yes' on bipartisan proposal Amendment 1 which allows local governments to spend on developing commercial airline services.
