Probation check leads to arrest for drug related charges in Norfolk

Authorities in northeast Nebraska arrested a 29-year-old Norfolk woman for drug charges.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities in northeast Nebraska arrested a 29-year-old Norfolk woman for drug charges. 

The Norfolk Police Division said that on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 900 block of Syracuse Ave. to assist probation officers.

According to officials, probation officers were at the apartment doing a home check on Harlee Pufahl of Norfolk.

NPD said that during the check, probations officers found items that looked to be related to drugs.

Authorities reported that NPD started an investigation and tested the items that the probation officers had found.

NPD said a drug pipe and a white powdery substance were tested. It was reported that the test confirmed that the substance was methamphetamine.

Pufahl was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Pufahl was booked into the Norfolk City Jail and was later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
