Bright Horizons combats human trafficking
Bright Horizons provides resources for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in several Nebraska communities.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- Bright Horizons is an organization focused on providing resources for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Since Jan. 11 is human trafficking awareness day, News Channel Nebraska spoke with program director Deb Zimmerer, and outreach coordinator Lyndsey Figgner, to learn more about their mission to provide active support inside Nebraska communities.
Bright Horizons helps inform Nebraskans about some of the surprising and dangerous facts about human trafficking inside their own state.
The organization has three offices located across Nebraska in Norfolk, O'Neill, and Ainsworth. They are staffed with 18 full-time workers and several volunteers.
