NORFOLK, Neb. -- Live music has become a mainstay for communities in northeast Nebraska thanks to a local radio station.

US92's Green Light Great Night is continuing to ensure a great night of music and fun.

Different bars throughout Norfolk and other towns will turn on their green lights outside their establishments to let the public know that live music is playing there that night.

US92 Morning Show Host, Caelan Debban, said Green Light Great Night has helped many local musicians find an outlet to share their talents.

"It gives us a reason to support our live and local musicians," Debban said. "A lot of times these musicians don't have places to go. They don't have opportunities for gigs, so when it comes to Green Light Great Night, we can reach out to them, or they can reach out to us and say they would like to perform for one of those nights."

Northeast Nebraska communities such as Battle Creek, Plainview, and Neligh have hosted musicians.

On Friday, the Neon Lights will be performing at District Table & Tap and on Saturday the Outback Band will be at Jake's Bar.
