WAYNE, Neb. -- The Wayne State football team secured a significant commitment on Monday, snagging former North Dakota State commit Ahmar Brown.

The Creighton Prep product racked up 100 tackles as a senior for the Junior Jays. He had been committed to FCS power North Dakota State before de-committing from the Bison.

Brown announced via Twitter Monday morning that he had switched his commitment to the Wildcats.

Wayne State won a share of the 2022 NSIC overall title and reached the playoffs for just the second time in school history.

First-year head coach Logan Masters led Wayne State to a 9-3 overall record. The playoff appearance marked the first time the Wildcats made the postseason since 2008, when Masters was a junior wide receiver on the squad.
