Roll over accident totals vehicle, occupants treated at scene
PILGER, Neb. -- Northeast authorities responded to a single-vehicle accident Thursday evening.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a one-vehicle rollover near Pilger on Highway 275.
The Sheriff's Office said they investigated the accident. It was reported that the accident happened when and SUV, heading west, left the roadway due to the icy road conditions.
Officials said the vehicle went into the south ditch rolling several times before coming to rest on its wheels.
SCSO said the driver was a 28-year-old Norfolk man. Authorities said the man and his two passengers, one a 7-year-old, were treated at the scene and declined medical transport.
The Norfolk man was cited for no operators license, and the Sheriff's Office said the SUV was a total loss.
Seatbelts and airbags were in use.
Both Pilger Fire and Rescue, and Wisner and Rescue responded to the scene.
Stanton County Emergency Management also assisted on the scene with traffic reduced to one lane for about 45 minutes.
