Man arrested in Woodland Park for alleged assault

WOODLAND PARK, Neb. -- A man was arrested in northeast Nebraska after reportedly assaulting a woman.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Forest Dr. in Woodland Park on Saturday around 5:30 a.m. for multiple 911 calls of a disturbance.
Officials said one of the calls reported that a woman was laying in a driveway covered in blood. Officers reportedly found the woman that had been assaulted and she was taken to a local hospital by Woodland Park Rescue.
According to authorities, they found 24-year-old Elliott Anderson hiding under the steps in his home. Anderson reportedly did not cooperate with the officers and was physically subdued before they took him into custody.
Officers said that Anderson reportedly had a hand injury that they treated. Anderson was charged for domestic assault, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
SCSO said Anderson was in custody earlier and was out on bond for an alleged domestic assault on the same woman in Stanton County after he had posted a cash bond.
