STANTON, Neb. – Two northeast Nebraska women will spend time behind bars after separate drug convictions in Stanton County.

31-year-old Keriann Denney, of Norfolk, was sentenced to 240 days in county jail following her convictions for methamphetamine possession and failure to appear.

Denney was arrested by the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop on Highway 275 near Stanton last spring.

55-year-old Rhona Dufek, of Rosalie, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, along with 18 months of probation, following her conviction for meth possession.

Dufek was arrested in a different traffic stop on Highway 275 near Norfolk in 2021. She also has ongoing felony drug cases in Wayne and Dodge Counties.
