Walthill man gets more than 9 years in prison for drug crimes
WALTHILL, Neb. -- A 29-year-old Walthill man has been sentenced to just over nine years in prison for drug crimes in Omaha.
The U.S. Attorney said that 29-year-old Collin Parker was sentenced for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm to furthering a drug trafficking crime.
The U.S. District Judge sentenced Parker to 110 months in prison. After Parker completes his prison term, he will begin a 5-year supervised release term. There is no parole in the federal system.
Court records said that on Aug. 20, 2021, officers stopped a vehicle in Macy that had four people in it, including Parker and his co-defendant Terrence Sherman.
Officers reportedly found about 1253.18 grams of meth, scales, baggies, and a 12-gauge shotgun.
Officials said that Parker and Sherman had planned to distribute meth, and they were in possession of the shotgun to further the plan.
Court records said that Sherman pled guilty on Feb. 23, and is scheduled to be sentenced on May 24.
