LINCOLN, Neb. -- An in-state lineman has given his pledge to stay home and play football for Nebraska.
Elkhorn South lineman Ashton Murphy announced Tuesday that he had committed to head coach Matt Rhule and the Huskers.
Murphy has the potential to play on either side of the line, though he tagged defensive line coach Terrance Knighton in his announcement post.
He is expected to join fellow Elkhorn South standouts Teddy Prochazka and Maverick Noonan as scholarship players on the Nebraska roster when he comes to Lincoln in 2024.
Murphy chose the Huskers over offers from Army, Air Force, Colorado and Iowa State.
