OMAHA, Neb. -- In-state rivals Nebraska and Creighton will resume their previously suspended April 18 baseball game next week.

Creighton officials announced Wednesday that the game, which was suspended due to lightning, will be completed at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. After the completion of the game, the two teams will play the series finale at 7:06 p.m.

Since the suspended game began in Lincoln, Nebraska will remain the home team. The Huskers will be batting with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied 4-4 at the time of the suspension.

Creighton will then be the home team for the series finale.

The Bluejays won the lone completed game between the two in-state foes so far this season.

Tickets for the regularly scheduled game on May 9 will cover both contests, with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. Tickets from the game on April 18 will not be honored at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
