Skyview Lake to temporarily close in preparation for Big Bang Boom

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A lake in northeast Nebraska will be temporarily closed as preparations are made for an annual 4th of July event.
Officials said the path at Skyview Lake in Norfolk will be closed for all walkers from 12:00 p.m. on June 28 to the afternoon of July 2. This is so the organizers can prepare for the Big Bang Boom fireworks display.
The closure will go from the north of Williams St, west end of the lake, to the curve of the southeast end of the lake. Signs will be in place to mark where the closed off areas are and all foot traffic has to stay outside of those areas.
There will be "no parking" signs from Maple Ave. to 18th St. Tickets will be given to anyone that violates these rules.
Alcohol and individual fireworks are not allowed in city parks.
