PILGER, Neb. -- A man from Pilger was arrested after he reportedly stole and sold a trailer.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said they received information that a gooseneck flatbed trailer was stolen in Stanton County, near Howells.
The suspect, 24-year-old Westin Jindra, of Pilger, reportedly falsified and filled out an application for a duplicate title for the trailer at the Stanton County Treasurer’s Office.
Officers said Jindra sold the trailer in an online auction but they were able to find the trailer and taken back from the person that unknowingly bought the stolen property.
According to authorities, Jindra was arrested Wednesday afternoon for felony charges of theft by unlawful taking and prohibited acts.
