Scores mostly tightened up on the final day of the Pinnacle Bank Champioship in Omaha, except for eventual winner Alejandro Tosti.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Scores mostly tightened up on the final day of the Pinnacle Bank Championship in Omaha, except for eventual winner Alejandro Tosti.
The Argentina native scored the Indian Creek course with a 9-under 62 to win by three strokes.
The victory punches Tosti's ticket to the PGA Tour for next season.
"I was thinking it took too long, comparing to other players I played in college and amateur events," Tosti said. "I saw myself struggling the first couple years as a professional, but I never had a doubt about my game, about the path I was taking."
Tosti carded five birdies on the front nine, then followed that up with an eagle and two birdies on the back nine to close to -19 for the tournament.
Nebraskans Brandon Crick and Scott Gutschewski finished tied for 20th.
Five other players with Nebraska ties missed the cut in the Korn Ferry Tour event.
