Eastern Nebraska receives smoke advisory

A smoke advisory has been issued for various areas in eastern Nebraska.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A smoke advisory has been issued for various areas in eastern Nebraska.

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Health said an advisory of possible Moderate to Unhealthy Air Quality Index impacts may happen in eastern Nebraska. 

The areas that may be affected are Columbus, Fremont, Lincoln, Norfolk, Omaha, Wayne, and the surrounding areas. The affects could take place from Thursday evening to Saturday evening.
