NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities in Norfolk said they arrested a 20-year-old man on multiple arrest warrants and criminal impersonation on Friday.

The Norfolk Police Division said that on Saturday around 9 p.m., they responded to the 1000 block of Riverside Boulevard for an arrest warrant serving.

Police reported that 20-year-old Joseph Williams of Gretna was inside the business and had several active arrest warrants.

NPD Officers found Williams and asked him to confirm his identity.

At this point, police said Williams gave a false name and date of birth to them.

While officers were checking driver's license photos of Williams, versus the name he gave them, police said Williams told them his true identity.

Williams was arrested for criminal impersonation and four arrest warrants from four different counties.

He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
