Norfolk road projects give updates on progress
Benjamin Ave. in Norfolk is expected to open up to traffic in late November while First St. is hoping to do so in the next two weeks.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- The city of Norfolk received another monthly update for road projects in the city.
On Wednesday, Bo Atkins from BX Civil and Construction said work on Benjamin Ave. is coming along.
BX Civil recently paved the mainline from 12th St. to the U-Save Pharmacy.
Atkins said major work will soon be conducted on Riverside which will require traffic to change and be more cautious as work is being done.
Paving on Benjamin is expected to end in the third week of November, barring delays.
A sooner timeline of opening was the First Street roundabout and bridge construction.
Logan Angstead of United Contractors said they are done paving the road.
They are now focused on strength and gripping work before they allow traffic to open back up.
Barring weather and other unforeseen events, Angstead said the road would open up within the next two weeks.
