Teen arrested near Norfolk for reportedly stolen handgun
An 18-year-old was arrested near Norfolk after he had a reportedly stolen handgun on him.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- An 18-year-old was arrested near Norfolk after he had a reportedly stolen handgun on him.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said officers pulled over a speeding vehicle on Monday around 4:30 p.m. going east on Highway 275, about seven miles east of Norfolk.
Officers said they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and proceeded with a search of the vehicle.
According to authorities, the front seat passenger was 18-year-old Karter Ewing, of Sioux Falls, and he had a stolen, loaded handgun in his waistband. The handgun was reportedly stolen from a home in Sioux Falls last month.
Police said they also found a loaded rifle inside the vehicle. Ewing was arrested for theft by receiving and possession of a stolen firearm. The 18-year-old driver was reportedly cited for speeding and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
