OPD arrests two people in connection to gas station homicide
OMAHA, Neb. -- Police have arrested two people in connection to a homicide that happened Saturday afternoon at a gas station in Omaha.
The Omaha Police Department said they were called to the Casey's at 3529 S 72nd St. for a shooting.
When they arrived, officers said they found one victim who was taken to a local hospital with CPR in progress.
The victim, 30-year-old Kriss Flores, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
While investigating, officers said they found two additional gunshot victims, a 23-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, who were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPD said they arrested and booked a 16-year-old boy into the Douglas County Youth Center and charged him with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree assault, three counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a gun by a prohibited person, and possession of a handgun by a person under 18.
The Police Department said they also arrested46-year-old Mario Amaya-Castillo of Omaha. He has been booked into Douglas County Corrections and charged with accessory to a felony and tampering with physical evidence.
