Amherst holds off Bridgeport, advances to C2 semis

LINCOLN, Neb. — Amherst turned it on late to advance to the the semis on Wednesday morning.<br/><br/>Leading by three to start the fourth quarter, the Broncos outscored Bridgeport 17-12 in the final period to earn a 55-47 victory.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Amherst turned it on late to advance to the the semis on Wednesday morning.

Leading by three to start the fourth quarter, the Broncos outscored Bridgeport 17-12 in the final period to earn a 55-47 victory.

Amherst's Tayje Hadwiger led all scorers with 16. Nikolas Weibert led Bridgeport with 9.

Amherst will face Cross County in the semfinals at the Devnaey Center on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
