One hospitalized in accident on Highway 275

NORFOLK, Neb. — One person was taken to the hospital after a semi struck a car just after noon on Friday.

Norfolk Police were called to the intersection of S. 4th St. and West Omaha Ave.

Norfolk Police Division Lt. Josh Bauermeister said at around 12:15 p.m. on Friday, a car was traveling east before attempting a turn and colliding with a westbound semi.

The front driver side of the vehicle reportedly caught the rear side of the trailer.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries but Bauermeister said the injuries did not appear life threatening.

The driver of the semi was walking around and appeared to be ok.

The vehicle was totaled and the semi sustained damage to the rear including a missing tire.
