Nebraska corrections officials looking for man convicted in Saline County

LINCOLN – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln…who was formerly convicted in Saline County.

Alex Reynoso Vargas was checked out of the center for job orientation and did not return to the facility, Thursday evening. Staff went to his last known location near 22nd and “D” Street in Lincoln and located his electronic monitor.

Reynoso Vargas started his sentence on June 14th, 2023. He was sentenced to zero to three years for terroristic threats and third-degree domestic assault out of Saline County. His tentative release date was August 11th of this year.

Reynoso Vargas is described as a 23-year-old Hispanic male, 5’ 4”, 160 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
