Monowi Mayor honored as Nebraska Admiral on her birthday
At 91 years old, Monowi mayor celebrated her birthday and was honored with a certificate as Admiral.

By News Channel NebraskaMONOWI, Neb. -- At 91 years old, Monowi mayor celebrated her birthday and was honored with a certificate as Admiral.
Elsie Eiler was honored as Nebraska Admiral on Oct. 11, her 91st birthday. The Boyd County Sheriff's Office and Knox County Sheriff's Office helped her celebrate her birthday Friday afternoon.
Eiler is the sole occupant, city clerk, and only business owner of Monowi.
Her Tavern was founded in 1971 along side her husband.
The Great Navy of the State of Nebraska started in 1930 as a way to honor notable Nebraskans and others.
