CROFTON, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol has cancelled the Endangered Missing Advisory for Holden Duncan.

The NSP said that the alert has been cancelled because Holden has been found safe.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said that around 11:10 a.m., they got a 911 call from a local farmer about five miles north of Crofton.

The farmer told the Sheriff's Office that he had found Holden hiding in a shelter belt. It was reported that the farmer had fixed Holden a sandwich to eat.

Law enforcement arrived at the location and took Holden into protective custody.

The Sheriff's Office said they plan to finish the investigation.

They said they are going to "make sure that Holden is medically stable, and good to go home and reunite with his family as soon as possible."

KCSO said the number of agencies and volunteers are too numerous to identify everyone at this time. They have extended a "thank you" to everyone who helped search over the days.

Holden has been found safe and will be going home.
