NORFOLK - Norfolk Catholic is headed back to their second home -- Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. For the 4th straight year, the Knights will play in the state title game, seeking a three-peat championship, after dismantling Kearney Catholic 35-13 Friday night.

The Knights dominated early, jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the 2nd quarter thanks to 2 Trevin Sukup touchdowns, and blocking a Stars field goal attempt. But Kearney Catholic made a game of it, cutting the lead to 14-6 before halftime on a Pete Homan TD plunge.

The second half was the Nathan Timmerman show, as the Knights junior star intercepted a pair of passes, pinned Kearney Catholic deep on a coffin-corner punt at the 3-yard line, and a few plays later scooped-and-scored on a 20-yard fumble return TD.

Norfolk Catholic will meet Bishop Neumann on Tuesday, November 26 for the Class C-2 championship.
