NEBRASKA -- The Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraskans are mourning the loss of a trooper.

On Monday, Trooper Kyle McAcy lost his life in the line of duty.

In the days following, his patrol unit has been stationed outside of the NSP's Troop A Omaha office. This has allowed the public to leave flowers, notes and other memorials for McAcy and his family.

Of those who have paid a visit and left flowers, Gov. Jim Pillen was one of them.

If anyone is interested in leaving a memorial for McAcy, the NSP said you can stop by 411 S. 108th St in Omaha.

Funeral services have yet to be announced.
