RANDOLPH, Neb. -- Classrooms are bursting with color and hope, thanks to the 'Colors of Hope' promotion by Nissan and Cornhusker Auto in Norfolk. Students eagerly participated, returning vibrant coloring sheets to win cash donations for their schools and contribute to a greater cause.

More than nine different schools in Northeast Nebraska participated, but Randolph elementary school became the top winner and was awarded $500 for their hard work.

Each sheet turned in not only brought joy to classrooms but also raised $10 for St. Jude during the US92 St. Jude Radiothon, showcasing the community's spirit and generosity.

“You know, being part of St. Judes program since its beginning has been a blessing to our dealership, and our family,” Al & Julie Rajaee, Cornhusker Nissan President & Vice President said. “

We have done this for years. This year we decided to make the school kids part a big part, because the kids that are at St Jude, most of them are about their age, and have been affected by cancer. So, this really sends a message to these kids that are a St. Jude's and lets them know, the kids back home care about them and know what they're going through.”

“So, this was really heartwarming to see the kids get involved. For a small school like Randolph School to beat out all of these other schools, and be number one as far as the number of coloring sheets turned in, is just amazing.”

“It feels really good. It shows our kids about how to give back to other kids, and help out in the community,” Randolph Elementary Principal Denton Beachom said. “We're always looking for service projects to do with our students, and when we heard about this, we thought this would be a great opportunity for our students to volunteer some of their time and help other kids.”
