American expert Phil Chalmers leads critical training on active killer prevention in Pender
PENDER, Neb. -- A crucial training session hosted by renowned expert Phil Chalmers took place at the Pender community building. With over 35 years of experience profiling teen killers, serial killers, and mass shooters, Chalmers recently guided 12 emergency management agencies, law enforcement departments, and educators on identifying warning signs and preparing for potential active killer scenarios.
“There are 13 reasons why juveniles will commit violent crimes,” American criminal profiler Phil Chalmers said. “It could be an unstable home, no father, using drugs or alcohol. They can also be involved in violent entertainment, violent video games. We will also look for warning signs, and I give a lot of warning signs. The big ones are kids threatening to commit crimes, commit murders, kids posing with guns on social media.”
“At the end of the day, we need a trigger. The big trigger for males is their girlfriends dump them. The big triggers for females are when their parents tell them they can't date someone. So, in these seminars, we give the people causes and warning signs. The thing that I do that no one does in the world. I show a lot of crime scene photos to get them into the cases. I have real serial killers, school shooters call in live and give the audience a good dose of reality. It’s that mixed with hard information and some humor to keep their attention for a full day class.”
