Rosters and schedule announced for ‘Volleyball Day in Norfolk’

Organizers are sharing more details about the event they’re dubbing “Volleyball Day in Norfolk.”

NORFOLK, Neb. — Organizers are sharing more details about the event they’re dubbing “Volleyball Day in Norfolk.”

The event’s name is in reference to the record-setting outdoor volleyball matches played at Memorial Stadium in 2023. This version will be on June 13 at Veterans Memorial Baseball Field, marking the first organized volleyball matches on an outdoor court in Norfolk.

The event will start with the Northeast Little Hawks Clinic for grades K-3, which will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A scrimmage involving the Nebraska DLeague, which is a skills training organization, will follow from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Northeast Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Match will start at 4 p.m. and finish out the day.

Admission will be collected at the entrance with adults costing $7, children $5 and anyone age five and under will be admitted in for free. Additionally, “Volleyball Day in Norfolk" shirts will be for sale on site for $15.
