Omaha Super Novas and Major League Volleyball set to merge with Pro Volleyball Federation

The Omaha supernovas are announcing their inclusion in the unification of pro volleyball federation and major league volleyball.

Omaha, Neb - The Omaha supernovas are announcing their inclusion in the unification of the Pro Volleyball Federation and Major League Volleyball.

The PVF announced Tuesday that it is merging with Major League Volleyball to create a single, united league poised to elevate professional women’s volleyball in the United States.

Now...Omaha will be once again facing its old PVF rivals…But the league will now be called Major League Volleyball.

The league also announced expansion plans…Adding teams in Washington, DC, and Northern California in 2027. The NorCal team will be owned and run by the owner of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.

As for the 2026 season…It officially begins Thursday with the opening of the free agent window.

The supernova's schedule is expected to be announced soon.
