No injuries after major accident on HWY 81

NORFOLK, Neb.— Everyone walked out without injuries following a major accident on Highway 81 in northeast Nebraska.

Shortly after 1:30 on Thursday, Norfolk Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of an accident near the highway's intersection with 835 Road, which is about 8 miles south of Norfolk.

A Madison County Sheriff's deputy told NCN that a semi-truck traveling north on Highway 81 hit the rear driver side of a trailer parked on the shoulder.

The collision caused the semi to end up around 100 yards ahead of the trailer in a jackknifed position.

Officials said that nobody was transported to the hospital and no injuries were reported.
