NORFOLK, Neb— A Pierce man is behind bars after attempting to suffocate a woman and biting a man's finger, police say.

Norfolk Police arrested Kody Dunn, 28, around 1:00 in the morning Tuesday on domestic assault charges.

Officers say they responded to a call saying that Dunn had attempted to suffocate the woman during an argument earlier that night.

Dunn left the apartment but then used stolen keys to return and physically assaulted the victim, according to a news release.

A man tried to intervene but Dunn bit his finger and fled the scene, police say.

Officers arrested Dunn and he is being held in Madison County Jail.
