NORFOLK, Neb. - Police say a Norfolk man is behind bars, accused of multiple burglaries.

The Norfolk Police Department arrested 38-year-old Terry Bynog on Monday morning.

Police say officers were called after a resident reported seeing someone kicking in the door of a home on West Madison Avenue.

The resident told police that Bynog burst into the home, demanded money and then fled.

Authorities say that was not Bynog’s only stop. Police say he later broke into another home Monday morning and demanded the resident hand over their car.

Police say Bynog was driving that vehicle when officers pulled him over.

Authorities say Bynog became combative, refused to take a field sobriety test and damaged equipment inside a patrol vehicle.

Bynog is being held in the Madison County Jail on eight different counts, including robbery and burglary.
