MADISON, Neb.- One man is behind bars after deputies arrested a suspect following a high-speed chase.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department says deputies arrested 40-year-old Nathan Donahoo of St. Paul, Neb., for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and multiple drug-related offenses.

According to a press release, deputies were first contacted about a pickup truck driving recklessly at high speeds northbound on Highway 81.

The chase began when the pickup turned onto a county road near the town of Madison. During the pursuit, deputies say Donahoo reached speeds of up to 100 mph on a gravel road before driving through an intersection and into a ditch, totaling the vehicle.

Donahoo was taken to Faith Regional Health Services, where he was medically cleared before being booked into the Madison County Jail.
