Press release
NORFOLK, Neb. — Norfolk Senior High’s head boys track and field and boys cross country coach, Aaron Bradley, will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
Bradley has taught and coached at the senior high for more than 20 years, including teaching chemistry and Advanced Placement chemistry.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my 20-plus years at Norfolk Senior High,” Bradley said. “It has been an honor to teach AP Chemistry and Chemistry and to coach cross country, basketball, and track and field.”
Bradley said he is grateful for the opportunity to mentor students both in the classroom and in athletics, adding that he will always value the memories of their success.
Many of his former students have gone on to successful careers in fields such as medicine, engineering and business, he said.
In addition to his time in the classroom, Bradley served as an assistant coach for the boys varsity basketball team from 2007 to 2012 and the girls varsity team from 2013 to 2016. The girls team finished as state runners-up in 2015.
Bradley has been the head boys cross country coach since 2012, leading teams and individual state qualifiers and medalists. As head boys track and field coach since 2013, he led two district runner-up teams and coached multiple individual state qualifiers, including three state champions.
Norfolk Senior High Activities Director John Erwin said Bradley has been a key part of the school’s programs.
“Aaron has been an important part of our track and cross country programs for many years,” Erwin said. “His dedication to the athletes and to the sports he has coached is unmatched.”
Norfolk Public Schools said it will begin the search for Bradley’s replacement immediately.
