Semi crashes into multiple vehicles in Madison

MADISON, Neb. — A multi-vehicle crash in Madison sent at least one person to the hospital by helicopter Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., first responders were called to the intersection of Highways 32 and 81 after a semi went off the road.

Authorities say the semi entered the parking lot of Eisenmann Supplies, diagonally across from Pizza Hut, and struck at least six vehicles.

Police say at least one person was injured and flown to a hospital.

Law enforcement controlled traffic in the area and said no additional details were available as of Friday afternoon.
