Gov. Jim Pillen’s office responded to a public records request for two years of call logs by stating no such records existed. In response to repeated follow-up questions, a spokesperson told the Flatwater Free Press that the outlet was more "interested in political hits and sensationalism than news that matters to hardworking Nebraskans."
