A Stanton man is facing multiple charges after using his motorcycle to lead officials on a brief chase.

According to a news release, shortly after 9 o'clock Friday evening the Stanton County Sheriff's office received a complaint of a dirt bike driving carelessly.

When officials tried to stop the motorcycle, 36-year-old Tanner Pinkston began to flee, driving fast and recklessly, sometimes cutting through yards and the fairgrounds.

The pursuit lasted about 20 minutes, ending with Pinkston losing control and crashing into a ditch on 837th road.

Pinkston declined medical treatment at the scene and was then jailed on multiple charges, including a felony charge for avoiding arrest, and a charge for Driving during suspension. Pinkston has five prior convictions for Driving During Suspension.
